According to sources familiar with the matter, Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has announced its intention to launch a text-based application that will directly compete with Twitter.
Bloomberg News reported on Friday that the app could potentially be unveiled as early as next month.
The Facebook parent company is currently conducting tests of the new product, involving influencers and select creators, as per the report. These tests are aimed at fine-tuning the application and gauging its potential impact in the market.
