After Florida Governor Ron DeSantis formally entered the 2024 race on Wednesday, Trump appeared to waste no time responding to the news.
DeSantis filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to officially run for president on Wednesday, after several months of anticipation that he would declare.
Trump seemed to react to the news shortly afterwards on Truth Social, reposting a Truth that reads: “Any Republican Who Challenges Trump Cannot Be America First”
The post ‘ReTruthed’ by the former president links to a Substack article co-written by Paul Ingrassia and Gavin Wax.
In the piece, the two call Gov. DeSantis out by name, claiming his “political talents” are “better utilized” helping turn battleground states red, “rather than shadow campaigning.”
