Abrams’ Voting-Rights Group Paid Millions To Campaign’s Chair

• Georgia Democrat gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams’ voting-rights group paid millions of dollars to the law firm of Abrams’ close friend and campaign chairwoman, Allegra Lawrence-Hardy.
• Abrams’ group, Fair Fight Action, gave $9.4 million to Lawrence-Hardy’s in 2019 and 2020, according to the most recent available tax filings.
• The payments were for a court case alleging that the state’s election was flawed and discriminatory. Abrams’ group’s claims were rejected by the court last month.
