Americans Cut Class, Work To Trip On Eclipse, ‘Most Beautiful Experience Of My Life’

The New York Post had reporters in states collecting anecdotes and pictures for a blog under a headline in which a person interviewed apparently said watching the solar eclipse was the “Most beautiful experience of my life.”

The reporters were is such places as Houston, Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana; Erie, Pennsylvania; Syracuse, New York; and New York City and the Tri-State region.

Senator Mark Warner shared a photo on X of the “First and final meeting of the Committee on the Eclipse,” with senators examining the eclipse from the U.S. Capitol.

Also in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere, workers left their offices to congregate outside and look at the sun.

“There’s something about this being our final year and the fact that there’s a big cosmic event we get to witness,” said Zaria Felix, a film major at Syracuse University.
