There’s been some news about the US Army’s recruitment goals. Apparently, they’re not going to hit their target of getting 65,000 new soldiers.

It seems that there just aren’t as many young Americans interested in enlisting these days, according to Military.com. And it’s not just the Army – other branches of the military are also having trouble meeting their recruitment goals.

Last year, the Army was 15,000 active-duty members short of their goal. Things aren’t looking great for the Army National Guard either. They’re struggling to bring in new recruits and keep the ones they do get. It’s a tough balancing act between domestic and overseas missions.
