President Joe Biden on Thursday announced that he would make another attempt to secure passage of an assault weapons ban during the lame duck session of Congress.
“The idea [that] we still allow semi-automatic weapons to be purchased is sick,” Biden said. “It’s just sick. It has no, no social redeeming value. Zero. None. Not a single, solitary rationale for it except profit for the gun manufacturers.”
