Perhaps the barest, most memorable moment of Oscar night this past weekend – when wrestler-actor John Cena came on stage with only an envelope covering his midsection – really was Hollywood magic.
Pictures show the-46-year-old Cena was in fact wearing a nude-colored, thong-like piece, designed to create the illusion he was nude.
He was bringing out the envelope for best costume design of the 1023 film season.
Cena’s moment was meant to be an homage to the famous 1974 Oscars incident in which a naked man ran behind host David Niven as he introduced Elizabeth Taylor to present the award for best picture, according to Business Insider.
