The Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne Tha God, has expressed regret for endorsing the Democratic candidates in the 2020 elections, claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris made false promises. Politico published an extensive profile on the media personality on Tuesday (Jan. 2), highlighting his souring relationship with the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket.

It’s not that Charlamagne has a beef with President Biden; he believes that the President is a lousy messenger without the political skills that former President Donald Trump possessed. The media personality believes that the Democratic Party was more focused on tarnishing Trump’s name than making positive changes for the nation. “It’s almost like Democrats are doing this purity test,” he said. “The people of America are flawed, and I’m not looking for pure politicians. I’m looking for effective politicians.”

Charlamagne emphasized that he is not a Democrat or Republican but a free thinker. He expressed his disappointment with Joe Biden, who he thinks doesn’t have a blueprint for the future. “He’s not giving me anything exciting to hold on to or even anything substantial. I can’t assess what somebody is going to do if I don’t know what they’re going to do,” Charlamagne said.

Charlamagne also criticized Harris, saying she wasn’t doing enough to address the significant issues affecting the black community. He said he and Harris had a common goal of improving the lives of black people, but he felt she had fallen short in delivering on her promises. “They didn’t prioritize us, and they still haven’t,” he said.

Despite Charlamagne’s criticisms, he pledged to keep fighting for the black community and to use his platform to highlight issues affecting black people nationwide. He stated that he would continue to hold politicians accountable for their actions, saying he is not afraid to speak up about things that matter.
