- Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political team pushed back hard against 2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who mocked DeSantis for “watching & slowly learning” when it came to criticism of the Federal Reserve.
- Ramaswamy claimed that DeSantis was repeating his “exact same message, verbatim, one month later,” criticizing the Federal Reserve.
- Problem was, as DeSantis’ staff noted, the Florida governor was simply repeating the same position he has held on Federal Reserve audits since he sponsored legislation on that issue in Congress in 2014.
