- Russia President Vladimir Putin is dismissing as “complete nonsense” President Joe Biden’s claim that Russia would attack a NATO country if Russia won in Ukraine
- Putin who has waged a years-long war with neighboring Ukraine also said Russia had no interest in fighting with the NATO military alliance.
- Biden earlier this month warned that if Putin defeated Ukraine then Russia would attack a NATO country.
- “It is complete nonsense – and I think President Biden understands that,” Putin said in an interview Sunday by state television. “Russia has no reason, no interest no geopolitical interest, neither economic, political nor military – to fight with NATO countries.”
- Putin also said Biden’s warning was an attempt to justify his “erroneous policy” on Russia.
