CVS and Walgreens, the United States’ two largest pharmacy chains, will start selling the abortion pill mifepristone at stores in several states this month, The New York Times reported Friday, citing interviews with officials at both companies.
The two pharmacy chains will not be providing the medicine by mail, the newspaper reported. It will begin dispensing the pill within the next week in a small number of pharmacies in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California and Illinois, the newspaper reported.
