- “Unfortunately, despite lifesaving measures, the adult male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Metro Transit Police said in a tweet.
- The incident follows a shooting earlier in the month on a Wheaton Metro station platform, which resulted in the death of 18-year-old Tenneson Vaughn Leslie Jr., according to the Post, which noted Metro crime has spiked significantly year-over-year so far in 2023.
