The lapse came amidst mounting concerns about the president’s mental acuity, with critics pointing to a series of similar incidents that suggest possible early-stage dementia.
In contrast, a similar slip-up made by Donald Trump while speaking about the events of January 6th was widely reported in major news outlets. During his visit to New Hampshire, Trump appeared to confuse Nancy Pelosi with Nikki Haley, another prominent female political figure. This discrepancy has led to accusations of media bias and partisan reporting, with right-leaning outlets citing it as evidence of a systemic liberal agenda in American news media.
