Disgraced Theranos Founder Seeks New Trial

- Elizabeth Holmes, founder of blood-testing startup Theranos, was found guilty on four counts of fraud and conspiracy after she duped investors.
- Now she wants a new trial based on “newly discovered evidence” related to comments made by Theranos lab director Adam Rosendorff.
- Rosendorff testified against Holmes, saying that employees were pressured to show that Theranos’ technology worked, even though it didn’t.
- Holmes claims that a Rosendorff voicemail and visit to her home indicated that he had done something wrong at the trial.
