An E-bike, lauded as the safe and environmentally friendly means of transportation in the UK capital of London, reportedly exploded at a train station this week.
The stationary bicycle started to smoke before bursting into flames, scattering pieces over the platform, footage showed, The Daily Sceptic reported.
Footage showed commuters running away from the smoking bike.
However, the London Fire Brigade said that no one was injured in the explosion.
The incident occurred in Sutton last month.
Posting a video clip of the incident on X:
“We’re asking businesses, including rail operators, to consider their risk assessments after crews attended an e-bike fire on a Sutton train station platform.”
