Trump Ramps Up Rhetoric On ‘Fascist’ Dems, Admits Indictments ‘Helped The Polls’

Trump Ramps Up The Rhetoric, But Admits Indictments Have 'Helped The Polls'

In a speech Saturday in Conway, S.C., former President Donald Trump addressed a range of issues, including the indictments against him and his views on the current administration.

According to Trump, the legal challenges he is facing, which were instigated by the Department of Justice, have unexpectedly bolstered his popularity ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Trump commented on this ironical turn, saying, “It’s hard to say it’s good to be indicted, but it sure as hell has helped the polls.”

During the rally, Trump criticized President Joe Biden for being “bad for democracy because he is grossly incompetent,” referencing Democrats as a “group of fascists that are destroying our country.”

The former president also took to Truth Social earlier in the day to express his dissatisfaction with what he termed a “two-tiered justice system.” This follows Special Counsel Robert Hur’s decision to conclude the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents without charges.

Trump has continued to push back on the various inquiries into his conduct, including the recent call for Special Counsel Jack Smith to dismiss charges related to the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago.

Highlighting his campaign’s triumphs in several state primaries, Trump underscored that he faced little to no competition within the Republican Party. Recent polls, including one from NBC News, reflect Trump’s lead over Biden in specific areas such as handling the economy and issues of immigration and border security.

Trump insists that despite efforts by opponents using judicial avenues to discredit him, he remains confident in his accomplishments and the support he receives. “We’re doing a great job,” he stated, dismissing the legal actions as ineffective attempts at removing him from the political arena.
