State's CFO Pushing For Criminal Penalties In Light Of IRS Expansion

  • Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis is pushing for criminal penalties for “politically motivated” audits.
  • He wants the GOP-controlled state legislature to address the issue in light of the imminent hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents.
  • Patronis said it’s inevitable that those agents “will make decisions based on their own politics.”
