• On Thursday, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert introduced a bill aiming to put an end to taxpayer-funded assistance for illegal migrants seeking to obtain abortions in the United States.
• The “No Taxpayer Funds for Illegal Alien Abortions Act” comes just one month after the Biden administration directed federal officials caring for pregnant unaccompanied illegal migrants to transport them from states with restrictions on abortion to those where the practice is permitted.
• If passed, the bill would “prohibit any employee or contractor of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement or the Department of Health and Human Services from transporting any alien across State lines for the purpose of procuring an abortion for such alien.”
