'Sound of Freedom’ Director Breaks Silence, Says QAnon Labels 'Not True'

Jim Caviezel, 'Sound of Freedom'
  • “Sound of Freedom” Director Alejandro Monteverde, who until recently has largely remained silent about the film, now says reports by the mainstream media and others about it being inspired by the far-right group QAnon are “not true.”
  • “The origin [of the film] has been avoided, purposely or accidentally, in the media,” Monteverde says. “The origin will answer a lot of these misconceptions on the film.”
  • He says the QAnon label is “so ridiculous” because he began working on the project in 2015, two years before QAnon emerged.
  • Monteverde also said his impetus for the film – originally titled “The Mogul” – was a network news segment on child sex trafficking.
