- Hollywood star Jay Johnston has been arrested by the FBI for his alleged participation in the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol. Johnston is a well-respected member of Hollywood’s alternative comedy scene.
- The charges include civil disorder, entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and impeding passage through the Capitol grounds or buildings.
- Johnston appeared on The Sarah Silverman Program, playing Officer Jay McPherson on Comedy Central from 2007 to 2010. He also had a recurring role on “Arrested Development,” and he appeared as a pastor in the Netflix series “Love” and appeared in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
