• Gov. Glenn Youngkin‘s (R-VA) PAC, Spirit of Virginia, attributed Republican losses in the commonwealth’s off-year elections in a memo Wednesday to the significant amount of money poured into the state by Democrats.
• “It is clear we did not meet our goals,” wrote Chairman David Rexrode. He pointed out that the PAC was aware of its significant disadvantages in Virginia from the outset, particularly as it relates to money.
• However, he claimed, Spirit of Virginia “contributed to these races in an unprecedented way, providing a roadmap for Republican success even in competitive or difficult environments like Virginia.”
