Former President Donald Trump holds a commanding lead in Iowa over the other 2024 GOP presidential candidates in the final poll before Monday’s first-in-nation primary balloting.

The Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom poll released Saturday night found Trump had support of 48% of the likely caucus voters, compared to 20% for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and 16% for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

With frigid wintry weather gripping Iowa, Trump was taking nothing for granted. On Saturday night, he issued a statement urging voters to make sure they showed up on Monday.

“Our grassroots supporters have put us in position to win, and now we have to show up to Caucus for President Trump on Monday and get the job done. We have to show up,” he said.

Though she moved into second place over DeSantis, Haley faced a significant enthusiasm gap with her voters, the poll found.

“The deep data on (Haley) suggest she looks stronger in the poll than she could on caucus night,” pollster J. Ann Selzer told the Des Moines Register.
