- President Joe Biden has promised that the US will stand by Ukraine “for as long as it takes” in its war against Russia.
- In a speech during a visit to Kyiv, Biden told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy: “You remind us that freedom is priceless. It’s worth fighting for, for as long as it takes. And that’s how long we’re going to be with you Mr President. For as long as it takes.”
- Biden gave more details of the additional military aid that the US will send: “Ammunition for himars and howitzers, more javelins, anti-armour systems, air surveillance radars that will protect Ukrainian people from air bombardment.”
