An Ohio senator took a strong swing at the president Monday afternoon, saying the “Biden administration wants Trump to die in jail and they want to bankrupt his family.”
J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, made the social media reply midday. In four hours, it drew more than 3,600 replies, 3,300 retweets and 10,000 loves. Other congressman were among them.
Writing on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, Vance wrote, “The Biden administration wants Trump to die in jail and they want to bankrupt his family. It is the biggest assault on democracy we’ve ever seen. If you’re too cowardly to call it out, you’re not ready for this moment in American politics.”
