• Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have avoided yet another court appearance after settling their latest round of litigation out of court.
• Heard was ordered to pay Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, the latter sum of which was knocked down to $350,000 to comply with a statutory cap.

• Depp was ordered to pay Heard $2 million.

  The following month, Heard filed a notice of appeal. However, it appears she has now agreed to withdraw her appeal after settling with her ex out of court.

  In a statement announcing her decision to settle, Heard made clear that “There are no restrictions or gags with respect to my voice moving forward” and blasted the U.S. legal system for turning her testimony into “entertainment and social media fodder.”
