A verdict has been reached by the Manhattan jury overseeing E. Jean Carroll’s federal lawsuit, in which she accuses former President Donald Trump of raping her decades ago.
The verdict was reached by the nine-person panel, consisting of three women and six men, on Tuesday after three hours of deliberation. The trial lasted for eight days in Manhattan federal court.
The jurors were responsible for deciding whether the 45th president is responsible for battery in the “Ask E. Jean” advice columnist’s case accusing him of raping her in a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room, likely in 1996.
