Lara Trump, former President Trump daughter-in-law, sounded all in Sunday for the notion of her become co-chairperson of the Republican National Committee.

“The committee has to ultimately vote me in,” she said on the Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” “If that’s what they decide to do, I would be honored to have this position.”

Lara Trump is the wife of Trump’s son Eric Trump and has been involved in party politics and fundraising since her father-in-law became president.

The former president, who is seeking the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, does not control the RNC, but in recent weeks he made clear he wants a change in its leadership.

Trump appointed Ronna McDaniel to lead the group after he was elected in 2016 but has since said new leadership is neeed after a series of election cycle losses and under-performances.

Trump has but his support behind his daughter-in-law and North Carolina Republican Party Chair Michael Whatley to become the group’s next co-chairpeople.

McDaniel has said she has no plans to leave the committee until at least after South Carolina’s Feb. 24 primary election.
