Los Angeles Bishop’s Accused Killer Charged With Murder

Beloved Los Angeles bishop gunned down and murdered in Hacienda Heights home

  • Carlos Medina was arrested in connection with the killing of Los Angeles Catholic Auxiliary Bishop David O’Connell and on Wednesday was charged with murder. 
  • Medina paid handyman work at the bishop’s Hacienda Heights home and is married to O’Connell’s housekeeper.
  • According to District Attorney George Gascón, the murder charge against Medina includes an allegation of the personal use of a firearm, which means that Medina could face 35 years to life in prison if convicted.
