- The prime suspect in the disappearance of 3-year-old British toddler Madeleine McCann has complained in an open letter that he is being trapped and framed for crimes he did not commit.
- Christian Brueckner, 45, is serving a seven-year sentence in Germany for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in the Praia da Luz resort in Portugal in 2007—the same resort and year McCann disappeared.
- But Brueckner—who is now facing a string of other sex crime charges and was found with child pornography and little girl bathing suits in his possession—says cops are just trying to trick him into making him confess to something he says he didn’t do.
