A Florida man, identified as Eric Sandow, was apprehended on Tuesday at the Dolley Madison preschool in McLean, Virginia, after attempting to trespass onto the school grounds.
Law enforcement officials discovered that Sandow was in possession of an AK-47 assault rifle along with five additional magazines, a handgun with six extra magazines and multiple boxes and bags of ammunition.
Sandow’s arrest took place as he claimed to be en route to the nearby headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The swift response by authorities resulted in his detainment without any reported injuries or harm to the preschool or its occupants.
