The start of the NCAA basketball tournament begins Sunday night with the announcement of the college teams that will play and the “brackets,” or regional divisions, in which they will compete.

FanDuel Sportsbook has defending champion Connecticut as a slight favorite to repeat as national champions.

Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, are Houston and Purdue, among the field of 68.

The tournament begins Tuesday in what is called First Four, a wildcard round.

The tournament’s 32 first-round games will be played on either Thursday and Friday.

The Final Four, in which the four so-far undefeated teams compete, is set for April 6-8, in Glendale, Arizona.
