Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer says the chamber’s impeachment trial for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas could start as early as Thursday.
The New York lawmaker made the announcement Friday in a letter to fellow Democrat lawmakers in which he said GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson is expected to deliver the articles of impeachment for Mayorkas on Wednesday.
