- Michael Irvin has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the female employee who accused him of alleged misconduct during an interaction at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale on Sunday night, which led to NFL Network removing him from its Super Bowl 2023 coverage.
- In the lawsuit, filed on Thursday and obtained by TMZ, the Hall of Fame wide receiver accused the hotel’s management and its employees of making him the victim of “cancel culture,” and alleged he’s being “railroaded” with false accusations.
- “Rash and thoughtless actions can have severe consequences,” the lawsuit reads. “Marriott [parent company of Renaissance Hotels] apparently did not appreciate these simple truths when, in a rush to judgment, its employees and management inaccurately and inflammatorily accused Mr. Irvin of misconduct to the National Football League.”
