- There are reports that more than 50% of applicants to be U.S. Border Patrol have failed the Department of Homeland Security’s polygraph, despite having passed polygraphs for other jobs.
- The Border Patrol is perpetually short-staffed as President Joe Biden has thrown open the southern border, and some believe the failed polygraphs are part of a sinister plan
- “We are losing out on a lot of applicants because they don’t want the number of border patrol agents,” said Brandon Judd, president of National Border Patrol Council union. “They do not want to ensure that we have enough for patrol agents. Everything that this administration is doing – they are undermining the mission of the Border Patrol.
