  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will travel to New York to protest the indictment of former President Donald Trump next week, the congresswoman said on Friday.
  • Greene will travel to the Empire State on Tuesday, which is the day Trump is “likely” to turn himself in to New York law enforcement officials, according to his legal team. The Georgia Republican called on others to join her, urging supporters to “protest the unconstitutional WITCH HUNT!” Her trip comes as Congress will be in recess for the next two weeks.
  • Law enforcement officers in New York have begun implementing tighter security protocols in preparation for possible protests over the weekend, with the New York Police Department instructing all its officers to report in full uniform on Friday. City officials said they have not received any “credible threats” but will remain prepared “to respond to events happening on the ground and keep New Yorkers safe.”
