Conservative media’s traditional leader in breaking news, Fox News, is being overtaken by Elon Musk’s Twitter, as the right-leaning audience shifts its attention to the social media platform for updates on the Republican Party and the unfolding 2024 election.
Since the termination of Tucker Carlson, the network has experienced a decline in ratings during the 8 p.m. hour.
Meanwhile, Carlson himself has announced plans to launch a “new version” of his Fox News show on Twitter. A significant shift in conservative news consumption also occurred with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign launch through Twitter Spaces.
