New Commander Of SEAL Team 1 Found Dead In His Home

• Cmdr. Robert Ramirez III, who became the commanding officer of SEAL Team 1 in November, was found dead in his San Diego County residence Monday.
• Foul play is not suspected, according to Naval Special Warfare Command The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s is investigating the case.
• Ramirez is the second SEAL team commander to die in roughly the past year. Cmdr. Brian Bourgeois, commander of SEAL Team 8, died on Dec. 4, 2021, after falling during a helicopter rope training event in Virginia.
