- The New York Times published a story on Monday criticizing a “conspiracy theory” about an election software company with ties to Beijing that had allegedly been perpetrated by “far-right election deniers.”
- The next day, the founder and CEO at the center of the “conspiracy theory,” Eugene Yu, was arrested by the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
- Yu was arrested for allegedly granting the Communist Chinese government access to the personal data of approximately two million U.S. poll workers.
