- The city of Minneapolis plans to reward $600,000 to 12 Black Lives Matter rioters who were injured in the 2020 George Floyd riots.
- A federal appeals court this week approved the city’s plan, which settled a lawsuit brought by the ACLU of Minnesota on behalf of the rioters.
- The settlement, according to the ACLU, forbids city police from using physical force to combat rioters and also forces all Minneapolis police officers who are deployed to riots to wear body-cameras, and limits the police force’s use of chemical agents for dispelling riots.
