In a Friday news dump, the Department of Energy dropped a proposal to tighten regulations on new dishwashers and beverage vending machines to reduce energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
In total, DOE has issued more than 100 similar rules proposals. In fact, also on Friday DOE issued a separate rule tightening efficiency standards for electric motors that power manufacturing and processing equipment.
