• The New York Post’s Twitter threat was hacked Thursday morning and tweets were posted depicting conservatives threatening liberals and making racist comments.
• “Looks like someone got access to the New York Post website backend and is changing headlines and then republishing the stories on social media automatically,” GOP strategist John Sears wrote. “Whether this was a disgruntled employee or a hack, this is a perfect example of why News Outlets (and other orgs) should not automate their social media posts.”
• Among the tweets posted were comments falsely depicting a fake Ben Shapiro New York Post Column titled, “We must assassinate AOC for America,” and another fake piece by columnist Miranda Devine titled, “We must murder Joe and Hunter Biden.”
