NYC Reaches Deal With Uber, Lyft For Zero Emissions by 2030

- The Democrat mayor made the announcement at the annual State of the City address in which he said the deal would play a major role in cutting pollution across the city’s five boroughs.
- “That’s zero emissions for over 100,000 vehicles on our city streets,” Adams said. “We’re pleased that both companies are embracing this shift.”
- The ride-sharing companies reached the agreement before the Taxi and Limousine Commission releases new rules on converting cabs and for-hire fleets to electric vehicles.
