The Biden administration is finally moving in to protect customers of Silicon Valley Bank out West after it failed. Officials said that they will cover customer accounts, but that taxpayer money won’t be involved. Meanwhile critics are lining up to hit the president for being slow to act.
In a victory for Republicans, President Biden is going to allow oil drilling in parts of Alaska that liberals wanted closed off to Conoco-Phillips. The president, does, however plan to rule out drilling in the Arctic Ocean.
Mike Pence did it again. He threw former President Trump under the bus for the January 6 Capitol riots, this time to the swampiest group in Washington, the Gridiron Club.
And the Oscars went off without a hitch or a slap. As expected, Everything Everywhere All at Once won best picture.
