- New York City Mayor Eric Adams appointed a Department of Education employee to become the city’s first ever “rat czar,” according to a Wednesday press release.
- Kathleen Corradi, the director of space planning for the NYC DOE, has been tasked by Adams to reduce the city’s rat infestation through coordination with government agencies and community organizations.
- The Adams administration first posted the job opening in December 2022, seeking to pay the city’s new director of rodent migration an annual salary between $120,000 and $170,000, according to the New York Post.
