- Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, former President Donald Trump’s top ally in the House, Saturday charged that plans to arrest the former president, possibly next week, are part of a “political persecution” meant to stall his 2024 bid for the White House.
- “This is what they do in communist countries,” Greene told the Washington Examiner’s Secrets column Saturday morning.
- Trump early Saturday confirmed reports that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would seek his arrest as early as Tuesday.
