- While most Americans support diversity in higher education, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 62 percent oppose using race as a factor in admission decisions.
- The survey also found that 52 percent of minority respondents opposed using race as a factor.
- A case before the U.S. Supreme Court is challenging the race-based admissions policies of Harvard and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A ruling is expected by June.
