Portland Clothing Store Closes After 15 Robberies In Past 18 Months

  • The owner of the Rains PDX clothing store in the city permanently closed the shop this month, KATU2 reported on Sunday.
  • “Our city is in peril. Small businesses (and large) cannot sustain doing business, in our city’s current state. We have no protection, or recourse, against the criminal behavior that goes unpunished,” the store’s owner wrote.
  • The sharp rise in crime in Portland also recently led to the closure of a Nike store in the city, according to Fox Business.
