- West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin vowed Sunday to “go around and see if I can mobilize the radical middle.”
- Manchin, a moderate who will not seek 2024 reelection, made the comment to radio host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” show on WABC 770 AM.
- Echoing similar comments last week on CNN, Manchin, who appears to be teasing a possible 2024 presidential bid, also said Sunday, “Biden has been pulled so far to the left, the extreme left, as far as liberal. Makes no sense at all, it’s not the person we thought was gonna bring the country together.”
