Roman Polanski Rape Case Docs Should Be Unsealed, LA DA Says

  • L.A. DA George Gascón has asked a state appeals court to unseal transcripts related to the criminal case against Roman Polanski.
  • The film director fled the U.S. after he was charged with raping an underage girl in 1977.
  • “For years, this office has fought the release of information that the victim and public have a right to know,” Gascón said in a statement.
