- NY Congressional Rep. George Santos has denied reports that he moonlighted as a drag queen named “Kitara” back in his days living in Brazil.
- Freelance reporter and MSNBC columnist Marisa Kabas claimed on Twitter to have spoken with a Brazilian drag queen who said Santos went by Anthony Devolder and by a drag alter-ego named “Kitara.”
- “The most recent obsession from the media claiming that I am a drag Queen or “performed” as a drag Queen is categorically false. The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life while I am working to deliver results. I will not be distracted nor fazed by this,” Santos wrote on Twitter.
